We are going to divide this recipe into three parts, on the one hand the cookies; that will make the base of the cake and divide the other parts, on the other hand the custard, and finally the chocolate, in this way we will detail the ingredients that will go in each block.


How to make a delicious cake for grandma

Ingredients for cookies:

  • 250 grams of rectangular biscuits
  • 1 liter of milk
  • Cinnamon to taste

Ingredients for custard:

  • 2 envelopes of custard
  • 1 liter of whole or semi-skimmed milk
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar

Ingredients for chocolate:

  • 250 grams of chocolate for desserts
  • 30 grams of unsalted butter
  • 1 small pot of cream to assemble
  • A spoonful of water
  • Cinnamon to taste

Step by Step:

It would be appropriate to use a rectangular mold, or square, you can do it in a glass or a desmoldable one.

To prepare the custard, simply follow the instructions proposed by the manufacturer in the package, although normally almost all follow the same procedure.

In two different glasses, dissolve the envelope of custard in milk, the rest of the milk will heat it in a saucepan, and when it starts to boil add the sugar and the two glasses of dissolved custard.

Beat with a stick so it does not stick and especially so that everything is integrated, away from the fire and continue beating, will thicken as we beat.

To prepare the chocolate we have to melt the same with the butter and the cream, when it is dissolved completely we will add the spoon of water and the cinnamon.

The water will give it shine and it will be easier to distribute in the layers of the cake.

The cookies do not have much complication since you must wet it with milk and cinnamon, if you like, to start the cake. After putting the first layer of cookies we will put one of custard, we will distribute more cookies and start with the chocolate.

Normally it gives for several layers of each but it depends on the mold you use and how high you want to make it.
